My abstract art is influenced by nature and archaeological finds, particularly the textures and multiple layers of corrosion and disintegration.

Many images occur in mind as accumulation of memories fuse into symbolic and visual interpretation of my art process. The textures of eroded paint, old walls, oxidation, and corrosion influence these works which runs parallel to this world. Both physically and spiritually aging, while the metallic golds and coppers echo the hope beyond.

The layering of textures of paint textures, sanding, glazing, paint build up, not necessarily in that order are just aspects of these tedious works.

My colors are inspired by many painters- James Whistler, Henry Matisse, and locale artists-CJ Tanedo and my father, Gerry Joquico.
